We are one of 30 chapters of the Virginia Master Naturalists Program, Serving Roanoke, Botetourt and Craig Counties, as well as Roanoke and Salem cities.

Virginia Cooperative Extension is a partnership of Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and local governments. When I retired I wanted to find activities to do outside with others who were also interested in nature. The Master Naturalist program encompassed all of what I was looking for as far as learning more about my local and state surroundings as well as the kind of biodiversity our state has to offer.
